The College has constituted an Internal Complaint Committee since 2007 which looks after Eve-Teasing and Sexual Harassment of women at the workplace. ‘Sexual harassment according to ‘Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act’ includes unwelcome physical contact, a demand or request for sexual favors and any verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature. The Internal Complaint Committee of the College takes appropriate steps to address and prevent any form of Eve-Teasing and Sexual Harassment of Women in accordance with the work ethics of the College and the laws prevalent in the State and Country. The Committee also invites Students and Staffs to participate and shares concerns about issues relating to EveTeasing and Sexual Harassment within or outside the College Premises.
The College has this Committee since its inception. This Committee aims at creating and motivating students to become responsible citizen who are committed to conservation, preservation and protection of the environment and striving towards a life in perfect harmony with nature. It educates them on how to learn to co-exist with the environment, by thinking globally and acting locally. Cleaning up the campus, streets and roads surrounding the College are also the responsibilities of this Committee. This Committee was strengthened with the introduction of Swachh Bharat: A Mission launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014. The College has been organizing and participating in Awareness programs and Campaigns to educate the rural backward people and thus help them to understand the need of hygiene and cleanliness.
