The Department was established in 2007 offering only UG Pass Course. During the past few years of its existence the Department has grown up and made an all-round development. At present the Department has an excellent infrastructure and a well-qualified and experienced faculty. The Department has been trying its best to maintain high academic performances since its inception. The course curricula in semester pattern were introduced in the Department from 2015 onwards. As per syllabus and guidelines of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU). At present the faculty strength is 4 including a part time Lecturer. The student of the department of Zoology have achieved and bring credit to the college by securing position and high percentage in examination results conducted by NEHU at the undergraduate level.
