After it was formed in the year 2019, the NSS unit of the College has actively organized many programmes. It had organized a cleaning drive in an area near the SBI branch Mairang in the year 2019, and also in the year 2022, an awareness programme and cleaning drive were organized at Iew Langstieh Mairang (Weekly Market of the Area). The above programme is meant to make the shopkeepers as well as the local people aware of the importance of cleanliness and its impact on our health status. The NSS Unit also organized a street play on Waste Segregation and Energy Saving on the 21st October, 2019, at the parking area of Pyndengumiong near the market. On the 10th March, 2022, the NSS Unit organized an Awareness Programme on “The Importance of Mushroom Cultivation” at the College. Participants were given an opportunity to perform a practical for cultivating mushrooms. The NSS unit of the college also observes many important National and International days. The NSS unit had actively taken part in observing the International Yoga Day by organizing programmes like Mass Yoga for the students and NSS Volunteers, and also a painting competition. World NO Tobacco Day was also observed by the unit.
